I grew up with huge breast. I had breast when I was 9yrs old. They just kept growing, and growing. 2 yrs ago I got my breast reduction. It's the best thing I've ever done. My breast were 48 J's.
I had to have my bras specially made. When I first woke from the surgery the pain wasn' t too bad, cause they give you morophine. I was in the hospital for 4 days. They removed 10lbs from each breast.
The Pros about the surgery is you no longer feel like a freak show. You don't have to deal with feelingd of Insecurity.
The Con is depending on how much tissue they remove you may no be able to breast feed when you decide to have kids. ( I had all my milk ducts removed so I can't breast feed).
Another con is when you have breast reduction surgery there is only a 30 % chance that you will regain full feeling in your breast. I have no feeling at all on my right breast but sporatic feeling on the left.
Despite the lose of sensation I still have no regrets. What's really amazing about the surgery is you never have to wear a bra again. I love being perky all day, lol.
Your down time is only like a month so it's not too bad. The pain depending on your tolerance can be pretty bad. My M.D. gave me vicodine for the pain. It took about 1500mg every 4 hrs to deal with my pain. It hurts but it's bareable. In the end you will be very happy. I know I am.
P.S. the scars are a bit scary. You can pretty much forget about a string bikini or a super plunging neckline, but I rather cover myself a little bit more if that means I dont have to carry around huge boobs. Thank God for Breast Reduction Surgery.

I am also considering breast reduction surgery. Ignore those idiots at school. They are jealous because their girlfriends are probably flat chested tarts. men always want what they cant have. I'm seeing a consultant in February 2007. After I convince him I understand all the pros and cons I will go onto a waiting list and eventually get my surgery. I have a smallish back, 36, but I think my cup size is now H or J. They were huge since I was about 11. I find it hard to find something to fit and often have to buy larger sizes. I have never been able to afford custom made bras or clothes for the matter. Good luck with what ever you decide.

Either way breast implant or reduction your going through major surgery it's going to hurt, I have had breast implant surgery and it was by no means comfortable at all I was in quite a bit of pain but nothing paid meds could not manage.. If you had a hysterectomy you will be fine with this..

I know 2 people who have had this done........1 friend had it done at the age of 40...she sincerely wishes she had done it earlier in life. Her boobs were massive and did not match her frame, they drooped right down to her waist......Now, she looks great and is much more confident and clothes look great on her.
The other girl was 21.....she now has a new lease of life also...
You are able to get this done on the NHS if you can prove that they are too big for your frame and the cause you distress...but not until you are 21 and your body stops growing....
As for it hurting....no pain no gain my love....I would sooner have a week or so of pain than a lifetime of hating my body, dreading the summer, never wanting to go on holiday, and getting undressed in front of your partner.......
Talk it through with your mum and then go and see your doctor for information.....Good luck babe!

Breast Reduction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

You would have to talk to a surgeon about it first -- few may be willing to perform surgery at a young age like 16. Surgery will prevent future problems though, like back troubles. Best of luck to you.

Ignore them. It is only immaturity speaking. Wait until you are older before you start thinking about things like that and try to keep your chin up. Being who you are is what is important. Not getting surgery because people pick on you.
