I currently work at a library but i am going to quit because i cant stand my boss. I dont know where I should apply because i am specific about what i dont want to do. I dont want to work with food and I would prefer not to go into retail. I am not good with math and I don't like babysitting. Any suggestions??

I worked at a movie theater for 8 and a half years starting in high school. It was great! We got to see the movies for free, and when on work breaks the popcorn and soda were free...it made a great supper on many a night! I started in concession then went to box office, learned the projectionist/usher role and eventually moved up to Asst. Manager then Manager. Since the food aspects of the concession stand are pretty limited it's not at all bad. There's plenty of time between the rushes to do homework (assuming your manager allows it) and it's a good place to meet others your own age.

it's going to be tough to find a job at 16, especially since you don't want to do the usual "teenage jobs," like babysitting or working in retail. you could dog sit if you prefer dogs to kids. or you could be a english/writing tutor for some kid. good luck with your search

Work at a club or a bar. Get a job as a secretary for a big firm. It all depends on what type of person you are.

Sincerely yours,
Laurie
