The lesson that we learn from history is that we never learn from history. This is most true of Americans. Americans have no sense of history. They appear to be too naive to accept anything for its face value. In dealing with Pak in the hope of engaging them in their fight against the Taliban and the Osama, they commit the gravest of follies.

The USA is already paying way to heavily for letting any terrorist live anywhere at all and that includes the highest office too.
Why does everyone always target the USA for every problem they have anyway?
It's not the people in the USA that are at fault about this but it's the government whose to blame for doing all this crap to other countries and yet the innocent people in the USA are the ones who pay dearly with their own lives when terrorist countries decide to fly planes into building killing so many innocent people on board and also killing thousands in the buildings and on the ground and for what same reason do any of them have for doing this is nothing short of total insanity from every view point except for the terrorist doing this criminal act.
What about all the other countries who are HIDING terrorists and letting them continue killing innocent people for not committing to their form of religion?
I don't hear any one talk about those countries but everyone points fingers at the USA for something that I have never even heard of, and why is that?
It isn't the USA that should be punished for this but the countries who hide criminals is what should be addressed at this point.
I hope that this is not considered abuse because I don't mean it to be but you did ask the question and I do answer as honestly as I know how to. I hope I'm not blasted for speaking the truth here.

It's possible. In hindsight the Indians might have been better allies in the war on terrorism. India is a democracy, and Pakistan is not, so the choice should be obvious. But that would mean the USA might be perceived to be choosing sides in the Kashmir conflict, which is obviously not the USA's battle.

There's a certain logic to the idea that it's better to have Musharraf in your tent pissing out, than outside pissing in. However, it's just a fact that no matter how well-intentioned Musharraf may be, his grip on Pakistan is only so-so.

if pak supports usa then definitely usa will pamper pak whether they are right or wrong.pak always suports the big countries like the usa.may be not the pakistanis but definitely musharaff is supporting usa.i dont think all tha pakistanis are so foolish to go behind bush.so i think by pampering pak usa might pay heavily someday and if they think that by pampering pak they might win support of the terrorists they are wrong.the terrorists are not so dumb.

yes, I fully agree with you. first and foremost, USA understood seriousness and grievences of terrorism only after 9/11 attack. Terrorism is a global threat and not to any individual country. That's why, if USA continues to pamper country like Pakistan who has deep roots of terrorism, one day USA will pay very heavy price. I hope, people of USA very soon realises this.
