Live a life of a good noble citizens with genuine aspiration.

Live with a noble or right way of earning livelihood.
Or aspire for that.

Have right thoughts (for No bad deeds, no ghastly things)

Be social and cordial to all, for all are fellow human beings.
But know where to draw a line. Since as you are an individual
your prime responsibility is to yourself.

Live in present. Do take lessons from the past but do not keep thinking about it too much - whether it was pleasant or painful.
Have aspirations for future - but do not keep thinking about it.
Remain conscious - not in the thoughts and dreams of past and future.

Live rationally. Don't think that a fairy will come from heaven and gift you a palace.

Right speech.
Aspirations to cultivate virtues.

Give yourself a break in a day and relax.
Try rejuvenating yourself.
At least give yourself a break once or twice a week to relax.

Above all always be conscious of your responsibility to yourself
which is your prime responsibility.

Try to control anger, anxiety and impulsiveness.

Always think that you are a nice and good person.
Be yourself.

If you like philosophy then have a right philosophy (which may change as you know more in your life - but that's fine).
This is known as Right Vision.

In fact my answer here itself is a sort of a right philosophy.

Take proper diet and food, drink enough liquid and sleep well.

I hope this will be helpful !

Why ? Because this is a sure path to present and future happiness, materialistic and spiritual progress for everyone.
It is scientific so no exceptions - means this is going to work for everyone who does it or tries to do it..!

NOTE : Live a balanced life. No inclining too much towards religious things. Neither too much towards funky atheists.
Stike a balance in your life !

Best way is to get fully involved in what is happening in the present moment, always ! Physical action is not a necessary prescription ! Let the situation tell us how we have to participate, whether as a witness, a student, a worker, a teacher, a volunteer, etc.. And we will miss nothing ! The entire existence is happening LIVE in the present moment(it will not repeat in the history of the universe!), and it would be unwise to miss it, trying to live in the past (even dreaming about future, in the thought process of previous moment !)
Now the confusion could be what about getting into memory of past experience, or planning , visualising about future... Well, if we are aware that we are in the present moment and are involved in the planning or examining the past memory, that takes care of it .

Well I am studing Ethics right now- there are a few theories.
Aristotle came up with the Virtue Theory- which focuses on developing your own presonal moral and virtuous character. Ross came up with prima facie duties which are 7 duties that we should all follow- fidelity, reparation(making amends) graitude, justice, beneficence, self-improvement and nonmaleficence(don't injure others). The Divine Command Theory says that morality is given from God or gods and we should follow the commands they give. If we don't then we have to answer to a highter being. Immanual Kant came up with the duty ethics- it is our duty to live a moral life-by doing- good will, establshing morality by reasoning alone, and following our duty rather than inclination. I know this is alot, but look up some of these theories and decide which you think is right.

It is best to live in love - for oneself and for one's neighbor, not just friend or relative.
I had a verbal roast last eve on Yahoo. I responded quietly and I believe have a friend now.
I zeroed out in several suicidal episodes because I refused to forgive/like/love myself.
Love is the fragrance of the rose, the hope of the sunrise, the steady beat of the heart, the symphony of silence or of a friend's call.

To live is to be intelligent. Life is a raging sea and we have to cross to the other shore. Only intelligent beings could ride on the waves and reach the other shore. To be intelligent we must first discover and understand our stupidity. A stupid person doesn't know that he is stupid, if he is awaken and accept his errors he is already sane. So living is a journey of discovering the unreal to reach the ultimate truth.

To live each day as if it is your last to never leave anything unsaid to never assume that tomorrow is guaranteed and to do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
