The 1980's Lakers, as well as the 1980's Celtics were much stronger than ANY of the Bulls teams of the 90's.

You only had 21-23 teams back then. When the Bulls won their 4th championship, they're was 29 teams. So thanks to expansion, the league diluted the talent of the teams.

You needed at least 3 hall of famers on your team if you wanted to compete for a title in the '80's. How many did Chicago have? Two? And Luc Longley is going to guard Kareem?

If Chicago played in the 1980's, they wouldn't have even won 60 games, let alone 70. They never had to play teams like the Celtics, 76ers, and Pistons like the Lakers did.

And if you're still in doubt, remember, Jordan played against these teams in the 80's and got beat every time.

I think any of the mid 80's lakers team would crush the Bulls of the 90's. Who is going to guard Jabbar or Magic from the Bulls teams? The answer, nobody.

90's Bulls. 6 championships in 8 years. Lakers had 1 more apperences but lost 2 of them. Magic and Kareem are 2 of the greatest players of all time, but so are MJ and Pippin. It's a tough questions but I think the Bulls were the better TEAM

Probably the 80's Lakers cuz nobody on that team including Jordan could guard Magic. If you stick Pippen on Magic, who guards Worthy? And the Bulls didn't have a center who could guard kareem.

That would be good to watch though, then throw in the 80's Celtics and the Pistons Bad Boys.

nicely, Magic's lakers could never beat Isiah's Pistons. Pippen's Bulls beat Isiah's Pistons. consequently Pippen's Bulls > Magic's Lakers?? it is the way I see it. And ya the bulls did beat the Lakers in the finals. The Lakers weren't too banged up in that they beat Portland that year, the superb group in the league.

The 1980's lakers are arguably the best team in history. They have the best coach (pat riley) and the best team in history. They had Kareem, Magic, Big Game James, They reached the NBA finals 8 times out of ten years. And if the two teams would ever meet, Those three would easily beat their counterparts. And here is the main thing that you have to remember. FOR A LARGE PART OF THE 1980'S THERE WAS NO THREE POINT LINE.

Yes, Magic and Kareem but how can you go against a guy like Michael Jordan. Detroit Pistons had a better team but the Bulls swept them at both there best. I think it will be a close game but in the fourth, I put any amount of money that the guy wearing #23 for the Chicago Bulls will win them the game. 6 finals apperances and guess how many times he's lost there.

Close match up, but I like the 90s Bulls, they played a heck of a defense, and they had the best player of all time, MJ, and a rebounding maching in Rodman. Not sure if we will ever see a team with such no names playing the center position and winning a championship.

both great teams, but 80's Lakers is the better TEAM, 90's Bulls had their success because of the Prophet of Basketball "MJ". the Lakers are more of a unit and they are playing with a lot of fun and enjoyment with themselves.
