The major causes of the revolution was the taxes policies acquired by the British Parliament in the 18th Century. Starting with the Stamp Act that led to nonimportantion and noncomsumption in the colonies. Next because of the opposition of the taxes nex policies were approved. The Townshend Act, The Revenue Acts, The sugar Act, The Intolerable Act, and the Tea Act. The Tea Act led to the Tea Party which was a way of opposition to the taxes. Also the Boston Massacre happened after the Intolerable Act. Also in the Massacre only five people died.
Finally all these taxes were a big deal because the colonist say that they were taxed but not represented in Parliament. They were virtually represented by the Parliament like any other British citizen.

The British felt that the colonies have been obligated to assist pay for the charges Britain incurred for the duration of the French and Indian conflict. subsequently parliament applied taxes and responsibilities, that have been detrimental by potential of the colonists, who felt that parliament should not be allowed to alter colonial concerns while there have been no colonial representatives in parliament. The British argued that each and each representative represented the total British empire, so the colonies have been represented by using "digital representation." In colonial society, the instructions have been broken into 3 instructions: greater, midsection, and decrease. The taxes imposed by potential of the British specifically affected people who belonged to the midsection classification, and those have been the persons who could at last upward push up and protest. additionally, a lot of people in England, tremendously people who have been in capacity, felt that they have got been better to colonists, and therefor that they might desire to be waiting to rule over them.

1) Colonists did not want so many taxes. This is why they rebelled and yelled, "No Taxation w/o Representation!"
2) Colonists did not want to be ruled by a single monarch (King). They wanted to create a democracy to determine their own laws to live by. They created our 3 separate branches of government for checks and balances - no one should have all the power (like the king of Britain had).
3) Colonists wanted religious freedom, and didn't want religion (the major religion in Britian was Christianity) playing a major role in government.
