Dont simplify it too much.

" -4 ^ -3 " is the same as 1 / (-4 ^ 3)

The negative in the power (in this case the 3) inverts the question.
The calculator is correct because it is 1 / (-4*-4*-4)
ie 1 / -64 or -1 / 64

Raising any number to a negative power is the same as dividing 1 by the number to a positivie power

so, -4^ -3 is the same as -1 divided by 4^3
Note it is only the 4 to the -3 power. If it were to be the -4 to the power, the -4 would be in parenthesis, such as (-4)^-3

since 4^3 is 64, you have -1 divided by 64

This is the same result as your calculator ... main thing to remember is that a negative exponent can be changed to a positive exponent by taking it across the franction line.

(-4)^(-3)=1/((-4)^3)=-1/64 is correct. What you have is the same.
1/(-1)^3=-1
1/(4^3)=1/64 so 1/(-1)^3*1/(4^3)=-1/64

There is no error!

(-4)^(-3)

=( (-1)(4) )^-3
= 1/(-1^-3) * 1/(4^3)
=(1/(-1) )*(1/64)
=(-1) *(1/64)
=(-(1/64))

It is rigth
it is nothing error

-4^-3
= 1/(-4^3)
= - 1/64

1/(-1^-3) * 1/(4^3)
= -1^3 * 1/64
= - 1/64
