try talking to her again. If that doesn't work give her some time. She could be going threw her own personal problems. She might not be jealous of you.

Hmm, interesting. Sometimes people really act strange, don't they? It's really frustrating when you're supposed to be close friends and they don't want to talk about what's "eating them," especially if it involves you.
I think your intuition is right about the cell phone and popularity thing, but getting the lead in the ballet probably pushed her over the edge. That is quite an accomplishment and shows that in addition to just being popular, you're quite talented as well. She's just going to have to get over it and you're just going to have to accept that she's a little jealous of you and there's not much you can do about it especially if she doesn't want to talk about it.
With a little time, it will probably all straighten out on it's own, but if it doesn't, you're going to make more friends from the ballet and other activities that you're involved in. I know it's bothering you, but you can't stop being you just because it threatens someone else or makes them jealous of you. You've got to enjoy being who you are and not worry about what others think.
It would be a different matter if you were intentionally hurting other people, but you're not doing anything wrong except being you. And that is certainly no crime. What would be a "crime" is if you sacrificed being the real you in order to remain "friends" with others or appease them. This would be changing who you really are for the sake of pleasing others, which certainly is not healthy.
Try to focus on what brought you two together in the first place, and maybe point out a few attributes to your friend that you admire about her and what is special and unique about her. One thing that will ruin a friendship quicker than anything else is if you always feel like you're competing with or having to "one up" one another. This is not really what a friendship should be like at all. A real frienship involves liking one another for who each individual truly is and being able to open up and share things with one another. Being able to enjoy each other's company without worrying about who's better at this or that.
Hopefully, she'll get over her "stuff" and come around. If not, she'll end up losing a very good friend and you'll make new ones.

Just let her be for a while. Maybe there is something going on in her life right now that's got her down. Sometimes its harder to be around people that are having their highs when you're having your lows. If she doesn't come around in a few weeks, ask her (not confront her) if she is upset with you about something.

First of all your friend is being a total baby.if .if you've been friends for a really long time i understand.i am in almost the same situation, but if your good enough friends then i think you'll work it out eventually.maybe you could call or email her asking her what's wrong and that you really wanna sort this out cuz you don't wanna be fighting, and tell her that your sad about it and you don't want her to be mad at you.good luck!

You should probably give her some space and let her think things through. Only time will tell what happens.

write her a note, that way, she can read it without you looking, therefore she dosen't think that you know she read it, but chances are, if she likes getting mail, she will read it.
