i own a repair shop,,and i don't think its vapor locking ,,i think it might be starving for air,,the breather may be stopped up on it,and hot air doesn't flow as good as cool air does this would explain the heat deal, you can always try opening the gas cap and releasing the pressure on it and see if it has any built up behind it,,this sometimes will help one to start, but other than that id try checking all my breather parts and make sure it is getting good clean air,,if all this fails then it may have a bad sensor on it giving false reading on the computer saying its already warm and the computer will not allow the needed amount of fuel to flow to it to start it, good luck maybe this will help some.

Okay - it is likely that this is only happening when you are low on gas, right? like maybe a quarter or less? You could be suffering from vapor lock - fuel expansion inside your tank and fuel lines, that prevents liquid fuel from passing through. It's like when you take a glass, hold it upside down, and put it into a sink of water...the water doesn't go in the glass, does it? No because the air keeps it out of the way.

Try this: Keep your tank as full as you can, and also, buy a new gas cap. These two things will probably help you a lot.

Why are you feeling responsible if the cat is within the care of your dad? If I am correct in considering that you do not honestly realize the cat has been killed (why else could your dad nonetheless be watching?) then I suppose sure it's too early to suppose approximately getting a brand new one. One factor you shouldn't do with cats is to run after them then they're much more in threat as they only run away quicker- they prefer to play and chase. So you ought to get him acquainted with the street earlier than you permit him out. You can do that by way of preserving him beside the street and displaying him wherein the automobiles cross. Hopefully he's going to then admire the direction of the automobiles. You ought to do that frequently although to be certain he will get it.

if its an older carborator model then it may be the heat riser valve in the mannifold that could be rusted closed causing your to cross over under the carborator causing the carborator to overheat which causes the gas in the carborator to over heat or boil and causes a vapor lock in the carborator. To repair open the heat riser valve. OR... Your coil is breaking down as soon as it gets warm and it cauises a lose of spark.

look at the engine while spraying WD-40 onto the manifold to see if Engine rpm's increase or slow down.
