Those are most likely lymph nodes and/or your tonsils (which are also part of your lymphatic system). You are probably fighting a heavy viral infection or possibly bacteria such as strep. Do you have a fever? Nasal congestion? A cough?
With Strep, there is usually a fever, no cough, and sometimes accompanied by body aches, general malaise, and just plain feeling awful.

upper respiratory tract infections can cause the lymph nodes under the jaw to get inflammed and become painful and tender, if your symptoms persist or worsen you should see a doctor, good luck

those are lymph nodes which are the "strainers" for infection. You could have some virus that is causing this, a tooth problem or something that causes the nodes to jump to attention. If it continues, see a doctor.

you've a salivary gland stone. this received't be certain through itself. you should work out a dentist to be certain if a referral to an oral health practitioner is had to have it bumped off.

It could be mono. Your glands are just fighting off infection. this happend to me.
