Obviously the chickens are killed. HOWEVER, there is something to be said about how chickens are handled today vs. 20 years ago. I have noticed that a fair amount of the chicken I eat has broken wing bones. But I don't recall ever seeing that when I was younger.
All animals deserve to be treated humanely. Even the ones we eat. To those critics that say, that food will get more expensive if such measures are mandated,,,,,,that's OK by me, I'll pay extra.

According to PETA magazine (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) KFC is one of the big offenders of inhumane slaughter of food animals.Wringing the necks of chickens and bashing them against cages while alive. PETA recommends a vegetarian diet, I am not a total vegetarian, but I will not eat a piece of KFC chicken again.

To be perfectly honest one day I stayed up late and ended up catching this program on television encouraging people to become vegetarians. Anyhow, they were doing so by showing footage from hidden camera on the abuse of all animals, chickens, pigs, cows, etc. And I saw things worse than throwing them around. I can't even repeat it, it's too gruesome. But, I will say that the tv show was targeting more than just KFC but it was all meat selling fast food chains.
When you come across such information always use your discretion.

It is all made up. Kfc kills the chicken and after that only a vegetarian cares what they do with it. Do they pull a carrot from the ground and then throw it around before it dies? And just how do they kill the carrot? Is it put into a cold box and frozen to death or is just left in the hot sun until it dies from the heat? Man it sure would suck to be a carrot!!!!!!!!!

I think I saw the same video. They weren't just throwing around chickens. They were stomping them to death! I saw a video of a guy literally jumping up and down on a chicken. I never eat at KFC or any of its other restaurants it's associated with. Disturbing.

Your Yahoo name fits you. KFC does not slaughter any chickens. They are purchased from meat packing companies across the US. They just do the cooking...

kfc chickens, otherwise known as ultimate fighting chickens or "****" ...(fighting ultra chicken kickin) are tenderized by herding the chickens in a "roundabout" and kicked, much like grape stomping for wine, while the living chickens are used for swansons broth..the kicked chickens find their way to heaven...or as we call it the TEN PIECE BUCKET

There are people that do stuff like that to animals. It just so happens that they were working for a slaughterhouse at the time. It's not the norm.
