If you are experiencing chronic constipation with abdominal pain, this is not something to take lightly. Understand, I am an ICU nurse and I see the worst that can happen, but I can't tell you how many patients I see who've developed a bowel obstruction (blockage) which can have detrimental consequences. You really should seek further medical evaluation and make sure you tell them how long you've been constipated.
Having said that, here's some additional advice for relief of constipation. 1st would be a stool softener such as Colace (ask your Dr. about this when you go in). Stool softeners are preferred over laxatives, as long-term use of laxatives can cause electrolyte imbalances (which are serious). 2nd Have you tried an over the counter fiber supplement in addition to adding fiber to your diet? Activity (exercise) also helps increase motility of the gut and can help "get things moving." Increase fluid intake (to help soften your stool). A warm bath as previously suggested, is also another good idea. I can't stress enough that you should seek further advice from your physician.
Good luck and I wish you relief from your pain.

For immediate relief you should get into a bathtub with very warm water. The heat will transfer to your intestinal tract and soften up the fecal matter. One of the causes of this is extended use of narcotic drugs.
You seriously need to go to the Emergency Room. I have no idea what the underlying problem is. It could be that your appendix is inflamed. Please go see a physician as soon as possible.

Go to the emergency room now. When you are in serious pain your body is trying to tell you that something is very wrong. Do not ignore your symtoms.

Go to a doctor. It could be something serious. I mean it. You could have a bowel or intestinal obstruction. Don't take OTC meds until you've had it checked.

ummm jump on the toilet and try pushing as hard as you can......Remind you that when you gonna push your baby out it gonna be extremely painful.....Extremely......So i wouldnt be really concerned only the fact that its hurting inside your a**hole...and digestive system, get some lactose....get about 10 mls of it drink it down, get heaps of water drink about 4 cups ok.......when its time to go toilet......you get on the toilet and push as hard as you can nail your legs into the ground so it doesnt get to sore.....if it does feel uncomfortable and you feel like crying then just stand up....and move around till the pain goes away....then get back on the toilet and push......do this continuously or poke ya finger inside and pull it out.....Sorry if this sounded disgusting.
