My landlord right now is my brother and he has his annoying moments. But THE worst story...
Years ago I was living in an apartment on the 1st floor of a family's house. There were usual annoyances like the landlord would stand at the bottom of her stairs (which was right by my bedroom door) and yell up to her daughter in the morning. "AMANDA! COME ON!!!"
But her crowning moment was when they were getting ready to move into another house. I opened up my apartment door to leave for work and there were boxes. Boxes upon boxes. I couldn't get out. I started calling up to her to say "hi, I'm home, kinda need to get out and go to work." Her response was "oh, I thought you'd left for work." Odd given that my car was RIGHT OUT FRONT.
She stood at her steps and tried to basically keep me in there. "Well, the movers aren't here yet so..." I had to say back "did the movers put the boxes here? I don't think so. I need to go to work. You know my car, you know it's out there, what in the world is this about?"
She finally got her husband to come down and start moving the boxes out. I heard her husband say "I told you she was home, I don't know why you did this."
It was outrageous. I was over an hour late for work because of her antics.
How does that rank?

Sorry I don't have a worst landlord story but I wanted to let you know that a landlord does not have the right to enter your place while you're not home without your permission. Hide a camera or something. This is very ILLEGAL!!! She is a snooping, nosy you-know-what. Don't let her get away with it. You pay for privacy included in your rent.

My girlfriend said her landlord would come in and eat the food she was preparing in college and go through her clothes and "borrow " clothes sometime without permission. My girl is a size 2 and the landlord was a size12. She was a real psycho.
