my nephew was killed in 1998 in wisconsin- abuse, marquell brown; just wondering what happened to his killer?

Darrick L. Geter or Derrick L. Geter is the only name I've found. Marquell DaQuan Brown was beat to death, he was only 15 months. The man was charged with first-degree reckless homicide, admitted being inadvertently rough with the baby when he wouldn't stop crying.
