1.A crazy looking maid outfit would be good for Amelia Bedelia.
2.You can probably find an inexpensive witch costume and go as Professor McGonagall.
3. Dress all in yellow, especially a big yellow hat and bring a stuffed monkey/chimp toy for a Curious George theme.
4. Black and White school girl outfit as Eloise...or
5. a Blueish school girl outfit for Madeline.
6. A little make-up and/or something to give a mouse-like appearance for Maisy.
7. Old lady for the :little old lady who swallowed a fly...some pics or cut outs of animals might be good visuals to add.
8. Go with the similar theme as #6, but as a rabbit, and pick up some of those plastic vampire teethe ---Bunnicula!
9. Nancy Drew may be easy, but I'd bring along some books as visual aids.
10. A dress and ESPECIALLY a ribbon...Violet Baudelaire.
Hope these helps.

The easiest :
I would suggest either amelia bedelia (maids outfit) black skirt and top with white apron or Mother Goose. Grey wig with glasses and a dress-to look like a grandma)
Angelina ballerina (a mouse dressed in ballerina leotard) You would just need tulle and a leotard. pull your hair back and draw a mouse's face whiskers.
Dr. Suess-you need a hat and to draw a face
Bob the builder-construction hat and overalls

If you have long enough hair you could go as Pippi Longstocking. Put on a jumper or some overalls, some bright socks, and put your hair in braids. Then weave wire through the braids to make them stick out.

Ask a friend to go as "Thing 1" and "Thing 2" (from the "Cat In The Hat") with you. You can both wear red t-shirts with white signs on front with "Thing 1" and "Thing 2" written on them. Then, put several ponytails all over your head to make your hair look like it is standing up. Wear red pants, if, you have them!

you can dress like pippi long-stocking. put your hair in two braids and use a wire hanger to keep the braid straight out on each side. the braids should go out near your ears and the wire will go around the rest of your head like a head band. then, wear mis-matched knee socks. and throw on some jean shorts (or a skirt) and a t-shirt.
(yes, my mom had me dress up as her when i was little... it was great. traumatizing, but great....)
hey, i wasn't the only one with that idea.... so, its not that crazy.... i guess?

Something you might be able to pull off would be a Mary Poppins thing. If you have a big purse, you could put just a while lot of unusual things in it!
