I don't have a great answer for this, but my favorite is David Weathers (journeyman middle reliever, currently with the Reds) because he and I went to high school together. I'm originally from a town of 1,800 people, so needless to say, we haven't produced a lot of people who have World Series rings. He's nice, modest, and still lives in that same town we grew up in. He just happens to have the biggest house now.

Mike Krukow...

He used to wear my number. He had a 20 win season for the Giants... pitched in the World Series and had a complete game victory in the NLCS.

He is a broadcaster for them now... and when I was younger, he handed me a ball at Dodger Stadium.

My dad was named after a famous pitcher from the Cubs. His name was Bill Lee and he was a real stud. Won over 20 games a few years in a row. Took the Cubs to the world series several times during the mid thirties. Of course they never won.

I think that mine is John Rodriguez for the cardinals. He is a day to day guy, who doesn't get much time, especially with the addition of preston wilson, and chris duncan.
