My dentist said no flouride until 6 months of age. So at 2 months, it's not necessary at all.

Contrary to a previous answer, not all "piped in" water in the U.S. is flouridated. I live in a medium-large city, and our water is not. They go through a debate every couple of years and have enough people fighting it that they don't do it, so we all get to either pay for flouride drops and tablets, or the dentist bills later.
Flouride is not necessary, but it will prevent a LOT of future problems with your child's teeth. And the answer about the child losing their teeth anyway is preposterous also. That person probably doesn't brush their teeth, why bother? They'll lose them eventually, anyway, right?
The pediatrician will let you know if your child needs flouride, and when, if not, ask.

Not at all, at that age. And if your tap water is flouridated (it is everywhere that you have piped in water, in the United States), it's not ever necesary.
Our water comes from a sistern, so at my son's 6 month appointment, his doctor prescribed him some drops, PolyVitamin Drops with FLOURIDE, it says on the label. When he gets bigger, instead of drops, he will probably get flouride tablets to chew.
And also, for when he gets bigger, toothpaste has flouride in it.
You don't want to give the baby any flouride at all unless the pediatrition prescribes it, because in high amounts, it can make people very sick.

Not necessary at that age. Usually at 6 months you will need to give flouride.

My pediatrician didn't say anything about flouride until my baby was six months because you can't give them a flouride supplement until then. However, if you use tap water to make bottles, then they get enough flouride anyway!

They usually don't start babies on flouride until they're six months, when they start developing their teeth (especially the mollars) This helps the buds in the teeth develop to get strong for your baby so their teeth are better as they get older. Your doctor should probably let you know when to start ur baby on the flouride water, but usually it's at six months.

My youngest is five months old and our doctor says we don't need to consider flouride for another two months.

Not necessary at all. Fluoride is actually a pretty poisonous toxin, which is why there are warnings on fluoride toothpaste about giving it to children under 6. Besides, babies lose their teeth eventually anyways.
