The right side. There is also a course developed by Betty Edwards "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain". It is offered at (NYBG)the New York Botanical Garden. It's amazing. The instructor is Mindy Lighthipe.

Supposedly the right, but it is not cut and dry. It varies from person to person and can also vary depending on the exact usage. It is not really an accurate way to think about it anymore.
