i just bought a used 92 honda 300 fourtrax. it was a little hard to get the shifter to go between neutral and 1st gear after getting it home and riding it a few days it hung in first after rocking it back and forth a few times it shifted ...........it done it again the next day and i kicked the shifter and broke it what is causing it to stick like that???? also what kind of service do these machines give?????

its broke...thats what happens to dirt bike and 4-wheeler trannys when people abuse them...i know of many bikes from over the years ive seen with this problem...it sucks but it can be fixed...and since u gotta ask whats wrong its likely to be more expensive than the bike initally cost just to fix it...u gotta buy some expensive parts for it and pay for labor...bring a big jar of vasiline to the dealer if u wanna get it fixed cause ur gonna get reamed...sucks for ya man
