It's not really possible to make a firework with household items. It's easy to make a bomb with household items but not a fire work. I included a link to make a homemade bottle rocket but unless gunpowder is a household item in your house it's not going to get off the ground.
NOTE: Many people each year lose limbs and even their lives in an attempt to make homemade fireworks.
