1.) Ok, a mile is 5280 feet long. Now that you know this information, the rest should be easy. Since it is 1080 less than 5280, you do
5280 - 1080 = 4200
That means it is 4200 feet long.

2.) Ok, for Tic Tac Toe, you need 3 in a row to win.
That means the FIRST person must make at least 3 moves to win. Since the first person can't go before the second, it would look like this:
1st person moves, 2nd person moves,
1st person moves, 2nd person moves,
1st person moves, GAME OVER
So, that would be 5 moves total!
Now, a tic tac toe board is 3x3, so it has 9 squares. 9-5 is 4, so 4 squares could be left open.

3.) For this one, let us try
3x3x3=27, but that doesn't work because 3x3=9 and that's one digit, so lets try:
4x4x4=64
that is the same as 8x8, so that is the answer (64)

4.) There are 5 rings

5.) 88 days
8 is the only cube greater than 1 and since it isn't 8 and it isn't 888, it has to be 88

Wait a sec. You have too much for me to process at once. I'll do one at a time. Don't count on accuracy!!!!!
For #1:
There is 5280 feet in a mile
5280-1080=4200.
The span is 4200 feet.

For #2:
For the tic tac toe game, one person goes first, then a next then the first then the next and finally the first wins if the second is an idiot. Only five squares are taken. 9-5=4. Not 3 but four.
So 4 squares can be left unmarked.

For #3:
4 cubed = 64. 8 squared=64. 64 years.
For #4:
Five rings, ever seen the flag?

For #5:
88 days, final answer.

Don't know about three, I might be able to tell if you offer a question that asks only that.

yay brainteasers!

1.) mile -1080= feet
5280-1080= 4200 feet

2.) X |1 | O
X |2 | O
X |3 | 4

4 squares

3.) 1984 - 1920= 64 years
square root 64= 8
cube root 64= 4

4.) 5 rings
105 divided by 5 = 21
20 divided by 5= 4
30 divided by 5= 6

5.) palindromic= A palindrome is a word, phrase, number or any other sequence of units (like a strand of DNA) which has the property of reading the same in either direction (the adjustment of spaces between letters is generally permitted). The word "palindrome" comes from the Greek words palin ("back") and dromos ("racecourse"). Writing literature in palindromes is an example of constrained writing.

one Mercury year= 88 Earth days

Gah, you kids need to stop making me do your homework...

1) Use the metric system

2) Four

3) 64, 4^3 = 8^2 = 64

4) Umm... five? You have to have seen an olymic flag before

5) Eight is the only digit that is a cube greater than one, so I'm guessing 8, 88, or 888 days.

The answer to number 2 is 4. (you'd have to be playing a 2 year old, but anyway....)
I don't do miles, I do kilometres, sorry about that.

4) 5 (is that a trick question? or just a free bonus?)
