I have the Radeon ATI 9600XT and the main drive is 250 gig, but my game lags when I play. I'd upgrade to something better, but this was supposed to be a good drive and I'm disappointed with the lag.

look for a video card that has 256 MB of video ram. radeon's are my favorite. what kind of game are u playing?
and by the way hard drive capacity has nothing to do with game lagging sometimes harddrive can be used as virtual memory but u have to set the limit

Well since you have that card you must have AGP, the best card you can get is the GeForce 7800 GS. The Radeon X1650 Pro is the best ATI offering, although I think the GeForce is a bit better. Your hard drive has nothing to do wtih game speed. Just for trivia sake, the best card out right now is the Radeon X1950XTX, it is the only card using the new GDDR4 memory. It is only for PCI Express though, which you don't have.

Radeon Ati cards have some issues with 3d gameing. In my recomend a nvidia card around the 6100 series at 256 meg for pci express. i ve had that since they first rolled out and have never any issues.

go duo core. 256 mb ram. the hdd has nothing to do with it. try getting a memory upgrade as well.
