As a 33 year old Married woman with 2 Boys the reason I make them put the seat down is because I am the one that cleans it. So I think if us women usually clean the bathroom the least the men can do is put down the seat. Oh ya and they should also hand over their pay cheques every week also.

At night in the dark, if he has left the seat up I sit down and fall into the toilet. 1st of all, unless a man's prostate is starting to go he is less likely to have to pee during the night than a woman. 2nd, if he has to pee during the night he will have to turn on the light anyway so he doesn't miss. So, the toilet seat should be down at night. As far as him leaving the seat down during the day, it is a gentlemanly thing like opening doors. And, the toilet looks cleaner and more attractive with the seat down, for those of us that like the house to be neat.

It looks better if the seat and lid is down. Company doesn't want to look at your bowl with all the little pubes clinging to the side.

Because he stores his toothbrush in the cabinet just above the toilet. When the lid is up at all times guess where his toothbrush is flying when he's putting it away in the morning, still all sleepy.
Toilets are supposed to be covered when not in use to avoid object and animals falling into them. LOL.

Men have to close it because they are the ones who raised it up to begin with!!!! DUH!! Would you want to fall in the toilet if you had to to sit down to pee??? when you pee you stand up and pee all over the thing too so thats why you have to raise it!! Or when you s--- you will sit down in your own pee if you don't put the seat back down!!!

Because they're smart enough to do it themselves. And they can put it down for themselves when the time comes. And they won't make a big deal out of nothing.

I'm sure a man has never sit in cold piss water in the middle of the night. I'm sure if they had it would never happen,I have been married 21 years and it is still a issue with us....
