That would be a quarter gallon of milk (as weird as it sounds)

1/2 x 1/2 = 1/4 (doesnt matter what it is milk, dollars... the math stays the same)

half of a half a gal. of milk would be 1/4 gal. But can't multiply half a gallon by half a gallon. Otherwise you get 1/4 gallon^2 (gallon squared) and no such unit exists.

Just like if you were driving 30 km/h, you can multiply it 1/2 to go 15 km/h. But you can't multiply it by 1/2 km/h. The units would be km^2/h^2.

Thats half a half gallon of milk. It is 1/4 a gallon. As I usually do not use the Int. units, I may not be exactly able to tell you what it could be.
