Why? Didn't you have spelling tests in school? Don't you read? Don't you notice that in a book the word is spelled "definitely"?

Don't you ever make the connection with the word "finite"?

Hasn't anyone corrected you over the years?

I am frequently amazed by the poor spelling and utter lack of regard for syntax and grammar I see on this site but I try to remember that some of these people are from other countries and may not speak English well or at all. How well could you pose a question in Greek? Would spell check really help in that scenario? I think not!
