i want to return a computer to office depot i've had for a couple of weeks, but during the time i've had it, there has been personal info and downloads. i'd like to erase the disk completely clean with drive scrubber. if i do that, can i restore the computer and the software in its original state that i bought it in with the recovery disk that came with it? or would i need to use the recovery disk to erase the disk itself, then do its recovery? i think if it did it, all my personal info wouldn't be erased all the way and still some info recoverable. thanks for any helps

drivescrubber would completely erase everything on the hard disk and start blank. just curious if the recovery cd could still recover it to its new state.
