The herd follows at an incredably slow pace...about 3 years behind the gay crowd...the straights make fun of Gays with the hair cuts, the clothes, but then about 3 years later, you will see the straights flocking to the stores to buy the "latest thing," after Gays have moved on to other things..been true for the past 40 years. Hair, clothes, dance, you name it, the straights follow in droves. IF I were a clothing manufacturer, I would go clubing about once every 3 months, do the drawings, then put it on a time table for exactly 3 years, and produce it....sure hit in the straight crowd..and trust me, that is exactly what happens. Amazing, huh? Good luck

Well since sexual preference is genetic, more than choice I doubt very much that straight or gay can be defined as a peer pressure issue...Unless you really do choose to be straight or gay just to fit in. As far as the anti-gay movement I think most of it is fueled by a desire to fit in, I think there are a lot more tolerant people out there who are too afraid to stand up for their own opinions..Maybe someday they will grow a pair, and stop following the anti-crowd just because the pope, or whatever says they should

Darlin' you wouldn't like to be stereo-typed like that would you? Now keep in mind that I don't take kindly to it either. I'm not gay, but I do understand the inclination. I was born straight...and I believe that people should be able to love whom and how they choose. I know that I am wired differently than most heterosexuals- as I am no follower...It is my preference to lead people to open their minds and hearts to all of their opportunities and accept the choices made by others without bias or hatred.

I think that is an unfair statement. However, I do believe that there are many straight people that are tolerant/accepting of homosexuality but who are peer pressured into "gay-bashing". My cousin for instance always uses insults like "you're gay" or "fag", but when i actually talk to him about the subject he seems to accept homosexuality (thought I have a theory he is either homosexual or bisexual). But peer pressure is true for every group, so it is wrong to say that just heterosexual people do it.

I think gay's follow the trend more than straights, whenever you hear an argument gay's use the same points over and over. It just seems like straight people are more like cattle because there are billions more of them.

I think anyone can be a trendsetter and anyone can be a follower. Sure being gay would give one a more creative side, but I don't really think sexual orientation will determine whether you are a follower in life or not.

Hmmm, I think it's true of all groups. Gay guys have to be Democrats and hate Republicans and bible people, and wear tight shirts (well, only if they're built [guilty here!]), and watch "Project Runway," and put rainbow stickers on their cars (also guilty here!), and such. (I guess lesbians have to be overweight and practice poor hygeine. Don't know much about them, though, other than what I've seen at the niteclubs...).

Not that I'm aware of. It's nice that you feel good about yourself. I do too. I feel good enough about myself that I don't feel the need to make my love of p***y my main source of pride. And I'm discovering something: if you don't spend your time flinging hate all over the place, less hate gets on you.

And they also unfairly assume that all people in large and diverse groups are exactly the same and judge them all based on that! Disgusting!
