Like stirring up the mother of all hornets' nests.
Nuked?
See what happened to the badazzes that ran Imperial Japan? Islamic terror groups would lose steam as rank and file Muslims did anything to protect Medina and Jeruselam (their other holy cities) from the same fate.
Because obviously there would be a new sheriff on Earth, not the "cute cuddly" version of the US they got used to.
I know everyone on here sympathetic to Islam would scream blue murder, revenge, etc, but the reality is they would be scared witless and completely cowed. The faithful would be broken as Allah would not have intervened to stop such a thing.
Then in a few generations Mecca would still just be radioactive ruins, but devoid of significance except to historians.
Plus what Susan said about Karma, A new American Guilt would replace American arrogance and irrevocably change politics on Earth forever as self loathing and shame became the guiding principals of at least half of Americans.

The Muslims would get all p****d off and vow to not rest until every American was dead.
The good news is they already are doing that, so I conclude there would be no negative consequences at all.

there are a billion and a half of them what do you think.the world would be taken over by them with there rage, are we would have to use all of our nukes,then continuously keep makeing more and more. then we would all be dead.there is a war comeing, the feds wont to control the world.
