It happens. The rule is that you don't have periods during pregnancy, but there are many exceptions to that.
If in doubt, better go see a doctor! (Pregnancy tests are not 100% reliable either, so I'm said.)

If you are pregnant, you have probably heard about other women who have their periods during pregnancy. This story seems to cycle throughout the generations and is almost an urban legend now. Everyone seems to know someone who has a friend who got their period during their pregnancy!
Many women can experience episodes of bleeding and spotting during pregnancy. Bleeding is especially common in the first trimester and about 30% of pregnant women experience bleeding during this time. Although fewer women bleed during the second and third trimesters, spotting is still possible and not all that uncommon. However, though this bleeding may resemble menstruation, it actually is something different altogether.

It is completely impossible to have a period through pregnancy. It pains me when people are so naive about their own bodies. Do you actually know what a period is? I say again, during pregnancy you CANNOT have a period. You can, however, have a vaginal bleed, miss-carriage or haematuria (bleeding from the bladder) which all appear to be periods. Other than that- impossible

How can you put a thumbs down when this is pure medical fact?!!! I'm not here for the popularity you know- just say it as it is.

Women don't usually get periods when they are pregnant. There is a condition that can cause women to get them when they are. It's rare though. When women get pregant it's basically a vacation for 9 months. You eat whatever you want (it's all going to the baby anyway), you don't have to worry about periods or getting pregnant, and you get to lay down a lot. Oh, and if you work, you get to take a few months off after the baby is born.
