I am pregnant with my second baby but for my first pregnancy it took a little while for me to get pregnant. I also stopped taking the pill and did the ovualtion things, timing and all of that and it still did not work for me right off. It took a little more than a year for me to get pregnant and when I give up hope and stopped trying when I got pregnant. I think it just takes a while for the pills to get out of your system and for everything to get back to normal. People have told me that after 3 or 4 months of not taking the pill your system is normal again but that was obviously not the case for me so my advice is just give it a little time and see what happens and if you want visit your doctor. I also got a prescription prenatal vitamin to take after I stopped taking the pill to help build up my system.

obviously you've only been trying to conceive since april.....it can take a while for the pill to get out of your system. What i can suggest after going through this sort of thing, you can go to dr on day 21 of your cycle, they can do a blood test which will show if you really did ovulate, and also test the levels of your hormones. Other advice is to try and have sex at least every 3 days....that way if you do ovulate, you should still have active sperm inside for the 12-18 hours that the egg is "alive" for. Are you taking your temperatures every morning? This is a really good way to tell ovulation, etc. As for the blood, see how long it lasts, but i think it is your period. I have been off the pill for 3 & 1/2 yrs, have had 1 miscarriage but think i might be preggers now......if it goes on for too much longer.....(say another 3 months), i would go to dr's with your partner and both be tested. The problem may lay in the sperm. Good luck.

If the darker blood you are experiencing is a brownish colour, it could be old blood from previous cycles the body is getting rid of for a new pregnancy. If the blood is quite red in colour then it is probably your period - sorry. It can take a lot of time, and as your periods are not totally regular, it can be quite difficult to determine if you have conceived or not. Keep going, it will happen eventually!

A couple days difference isn't that big of a deal. It's still soon...it takes the average fertile couple 6 months to a year to concieve. You're doing everything you can and sounds like you're doing everything right. Take a test, if it's negative, enjoy your time trying because once that baby gets here...things change!! Good luck!

I am in the boat with you. From my understanding, implantation is light in color and amount. But it is different from person to person. My period jumps around too. If it has been at least three or four days, take a test. Don't get too frustrated. If you are youngish, experts say it takes about a year to try and get pregnant. Ironic, after spending years trying not to be.

I took my last depo shot in June 04 and was letting it get out of my system before we were even trying. I haven't taken anything since and we have been trying all of this time and nothing yet.
Good luck to you. It just takes time. And who knows what the depo did to my body too.Good luck to you

Don't fret so much. Stress can cause you not to conceive. Ask your doctor how long to wait before you should worry enough to have fertility tests done.
