Beyond the NY Rangers, are there any other teams that come out to center ice and "salute" the fans at center ice at the end of a home game? I think its an incredibly classy way of connecting with fans.

In college hockey, the University of Maine does this. When the Wisconsin Badgers knocked the piss out of them in the Frozen Four last year, they still came out and saluted the fans.

I'd be interested to find out if the Rangers copied Maine or viseversa.

Ah yes the San Jose Sharks salute the four sides of the arena every game, win, lose or tie then have a shoot out thing. I think in New York its kind of a gimmick thing, but the Sharks do it for real.

No, I think it's just the Rangers. It's a great way to celebrate after a win, but what do they do after a loss? (A really bad loss, 7-1 or something like that.) Don't the fans boo them?

I believe its a European thing. I think Sam and JD discussed the whole salute thing during a game last year.
