Chances are extremely good that it won't even fit into your computer. If your computer is less than 5 years old, it won't, period. If it's roughly 5 years old, then download this: http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php then install it, and run it. If, under the memory tab, it says your computer has DDR-SDRAM, then you can't use it.

If it says that you have SDRAM, then you'll probably be able to use it, but only if it's the same speed, or FASTER than the RAM you have in there already. If it's slower, then just toss it; it's worthless to you. Oh, and it's worth less than $10, if it were new.

its easy, once yo opened your tower, look for the memory slot(s) in your mother board, then, open the "lock" (it's usually white) then carefuly insert your memory in a vacant slot, you cant be wrong, the memory wont fit if your inserting it the wrong way. then finally, lock it with the white hatch, and thats it! your ram is 128mb more than before!

stop

how fast is the memory?

how fast is yours?

the speed of all the memory installed should match, if they do not there will be problems with starting or blue screens. if they match, the memory is keyed and can only be inserted one way. ensure the cards are correctly seated and restart, if the system registers more memory you can check by right clicking my computer then properties
