Yes it's starting to get better, can't wait to see what the black man was hiding in the basement. I,m thinking he's being made to look like a bad guy right now, but in the end he will be a good guy. and how fortunate were they to have the train with supplies crash right outside of town. Guess that means no cannibalism for the meantime.

A story about an atom bomb dropping in the heartland makes me feel a whole lot less hopeless about the future of mankind than the typical reality show, like Big Brother or Survivor or Wife Swap.

So, okay, it's a story of hope, relatively speaking. Finally, something positive and uplifting from the networks.

I like the show, it is yet another great one in McRaney's filmography.
as it stands I think the show could evolve in a multitude of ways with these just being a few of my Questions

Who is Hawkins really?
Why wont Hawkins let his family out?
Why did the Hawkins' huddle in their basement but let the daughter stay in her room?
What else is in the U-Haul shed, and why is he hiding some in a new cement closet in his basement?
What if its not real?
What really happened to the claustrophobic teacher?
Which women will the brothers Green choose?
If its war, who with and why now?

By using the same time line of 24hours tops per episode the show can be stretched out multiple seasons with out feeling drawn out.
