If you add up 32+33+28+24+the unknown number, the total will be 5x28 = 140. Oops, that's if 28 is the mean.

If it's the median (NOT medium), the middle number is 28, so the fifth number has to be <=28 so that 28 will end up in the middle.

It's less than 28. Otherwise, either 33 or the fifth number would be the median (whichever one was directly higher than 8)

my guess is 23

32 is 4 above 28 and 24 is 4 below 28
33 is 1 above 32 and 5 above 28 so go 1 below 24 and 5 below 28 which makes it 23 just a guess tho
