Is there some kind of switch somewhere that isn't flowing? What color is the wire that turns them on?

The fuel pressure is good, the fuel pump is running, when I dump gas in the intake, it runs for a couple of seconds and quits when the gas runs out so I assume that the injectors aren't opening. It's also not a fuse. Is there some kind of switch somewhere?

Yes there is an inertia switch in most fords. If im not mistaken in an escort its in the rear side panel (cant remember which one) but it will be a red topped button. Push down to reset it. If it isnt there it will be in the pass. side kick panel. Good luck there are alot of sensors on fords that could keep your car from starting but id look at the switch first.I believe if youre throttle position sensor was reading 5.0v then it would cut the injectors due to the ecm thinking you were at w.o.t.
