No, normal fasting blood sugar is between 70 and 110, you are completely normal and within normal limits. Relax.

72 and 80 are normal readings. If you had diabetes and didn't know it and therefor weren't treating it, your blood sugar would be high. Probably 200 fasting and 400 afterwards. I know that mine is normally 80 or 90 and after I eat it is 120 or so and I am not diabetic. I have a relative with diabetes and 80 is not a high number. If you were at 50 or 60, you would have low blood sugar that could be dangerous

Do you have other symptoms? Why did you have your blood sugar checked. This fasting blood sugar, was it done at a health-care institution? The range you have given is fine. Another test that might be ordered is a Hemoglobin A1C. This is a study that is a little more definitive than just a blood sugar.

Diabetes is not your problem. Other things you should check first are your blood pressure and your diet. Make sure you are eating properly. Poor diet is often the source of tiredness.

Another possibility is depression. That will make you feel tired as well. WebMD has a good self test for depression. Before you completely dismiss the idea you might want to at least read it. I was depressed for years and thought it was dehydration.
