I have been divorced for 3 years and been doing well. The last few nites i have had dreams that include my ex.

Question

We have not spoken since for atleast 2 years. He is with someone else who i know he cheated with and slept with only 2 weeks after we seperated. Why am i having dreams about him now? Our 7 year ann. is coming up could that be why? I have not had feelings for him for a long time (does that help). I am also single.....

don't feel bad about that. I hae been happily married for 4 years and recently had a vivid dream about an ex. They just pop up once in a while, even if you don't think about that person ever. Your anniversary is prob. just making you think. This too will pass....

dreams don't always mean something..sometimes they do but not always..sometimes it things that happen tha day or in life that just spark an old memory...just because you divorce doesn't wipe away how you felt(feel) for him...obviously you have some feelings left for him because you say your 7 year anniversary coming up but in reality you don't because you've been divorced 3 years!Your brain has to work those feelings out at its own pace..This is totally normal thought I still have some dreams and I've been divorced 9 years..I try to write in a journal when my dreams bother me so..maybe if you write how you feel out in private for no one but you you will get all that out and stop dreaming of him..good luck i know that its hard to move on but you deserve someone better and faithful :)

Well you've been with him for so long you were probably missing him subcontiously and not knowing it. If he was bad to you this could be the case too. The case also maybe that you are ticked at him for being a jerk. Try to forget him. Once you find someone else you'll get over it.
