Thanks for your quick answers.
They are program installers that I downloaded from Cnet (Probabely with .exe extensions)
I burnt them for backup at different times.
I wrote their names on a paper. I am sure about writing them on the CD.
I am looking files with Windows Explorer.
I have not hidden them.

They may have hidden extensions. If all the files are .txt files or .doc files, they should show up. If you don't have extensions, you may see them but have troubles opening them. If you have different extensions, check to see if you're set up to see all files or if you have hidden file types.

Edit: I'm sorry, I have no idea then. If they're .exe, they can't be hidden. If they had the same file names, they might have over-written earlier files, but that doesn't sound likely. Not knowing your burning processes though, the only thing I can think of is: if the earlier ones are there and the later ones aren't, some R cds seem to sort of close off after you've burned them, making it so you can't burn onto them later. You'd have seen some error messages if that were so though. Did you check your explorer to see how much space is used up and compare to the sum of the sizes of your 4 files? That may help to show if the other 10 are there or not.

Also, if you burned them at different times, is it possible you took out the cd and accidently burned them onto another cd?

Get winrar archiver no matter in the adventure that your compressed record gained't in good condition on a unmarried CD, there is an selection to create multi-volume files with a particular maximum length. So contained in the worst situation you'll have 2 files, of seven hundred and three hundred mb that you'll record one after the other and then unpack and prepare again with winrar.

What type of files? (extension)
Were they all burnt at the same time?
Did you ever see all 14 on the disk?
How are you 'looking' at the files to know there are only 4?
(windows explorer etc.)
not enough info. to give an answer. Re-post the question with some info.
