first you should have ask why are they still predujice since racist actually means to be aware of you racially heritage and proud they've just changed the meaning over the years.anyways they still hold those feelings because they are unsure of their own self or dont understand the culture so instead of trying to find out about someting new they choose to close themselves off they dont understand they one basic thing that lets any groups no matter how oppisite coinside respect man if only people could realise that this would be a better world and can you believe im a skinhead?

Because there is ignorance in both groups.. Racism is so stupid and I do not understand it and I never will. I am not a racists and I have children and I will not teach them to be that way..
However, I will teach them to be careful with strangers of all ethnicity because now a days you can't trust anyone...

I think it has a lot to do with the way they're raised. If they're brought up at an early age to be racist, it could be hard for them to break away from that mindset. And once they have kids, the cycle continues.

Cause someone beat someone up, is dating someone's sister, got a higher score on the GRE, has more money, works more, complains too much, kept their neighbors up when they had to get to work in the morning, stole someone's car, framed someone, conspired, colluded, abandoned, betrayed, assaulted, raped, or murdered someone... who took it personally... but blacks and whites are getting along better ... and we're doing it all over again in right-wing versus left-wing, GM versus Ford, MTV versus BET, country vs western, O'Riley vs ... left wing...

well racism is all around; in every race. it's merely the dislike of differences. and it is ignorance or lack of knowledge that creates and sustains racism.
unfortunately, there's not a thing you can do about someone else's ignorance... what is most important is your own knowledge and awareness. are you a racist? if so, whatever. if not, good for you and welcome to LIFE!!!

my opinion is on how they were raised. if they saw (let's say grandma for example) always degraded a person of a certain race and color, than they were more likely to do the same.
