My 1996 runs best on premium. If I run regular, I usually get some detonation. Mid-grade from some stations is OK. Avoid too much ethanol as it robs power and gas mileage.

Try different grades from different stations. Listen to your engine for sounds of detonation. Keep track of gas mileage and power. Use your "seat of the pants" dyno. Go with the gas that gives you the best results.

Other than that, check your manual.

The car was designed to run best on Hi-test and that is what you should use. You want the car to run like it was designed to don't you? Don't cheap out on gas. Now get out and drive that thing just as I am going to do in a minute!
