Most of the time these companies are legit in that they will send you a copy of the the software, but that is as far as it goes. Most of the software they sell is pirated and is not paid for by them. You are not buying a legal copy of the software and you can get in trouble for using it, if it were somehow found out.
Best just to play it safe and buy a real copy.
