I have almost new Playstation 2 and I think I was Playstation3 but still most of people play P2, aren't they? Anyway what do you think is it old already and should buy P3? TY

If you can live without it untill the playstation 3 comes out SELL IT. The PS3 can play Playstation 2 (and maybe playstation 1) games. When the playstation 3 comes out, the value of your playstation 2 will drop dramatically because everyone will be selling their playstation 2's. And good luck getting a playstaion 3 on launch day.

Dude if you can afford the 600 bucks for a PS3 then what do you need to sell the PS2 for? You can by an Xbox 360 since it's half the price of the yet to be released PS3 and already has 100 games out for it. And an organized online community. PS3 has NO online service in place that can compare to Xbox Live.

You should wait, especially if the playstation is expensive. Otherwise, if you have the money to buy a playstation 3 go for it. But normally, after a while, the price drop and the good games finally are in stock.

It depends on what release version it is... you can check this by looking at the front of the system... if it has a Firewire (iLink) port (right of the USB ports) it is the first release of PS2... you can sell it at EB for about $30... if it does not have the firewire port, it can be sold for about $40 - $50. if it is a slimline PS2, it will go for around $70... If a seal has been broken, it will go for much less then you want... I would not sell it though... the only reason I sold myne was to get my xbox modchip :)

first of all ps3 doesnt come out till its launch in november the 17th of this year. secondly if u have a ps2 i advise u to buy and xbox or xbox360 because theres gonna be a waste of money. Now anyways especially because youre going to want to get ps3. you can play ps2 on ps3 so the ps2 gonna be a sittin duck. 500 dollars for 20 gb or 600 for 60gb and xbox 360 has 20gb.

DO NOT SELL YET!!! The PS3 is going to be outragiously priced but luckily it will go down. You could sell the PS2 and put the money toward the PS3 and games but I don't think you would get as much as you would think. Be patient and wait for the price to go down a bit.

This is a personal matter. Just like everything else, there are always going to be 'bigger and better'. You should have what you like, and if the PS2 makes ya happy, keep it. I have several game systems (even old ones) that I just can't seen to get rid of. They can be fun just to have, though. If we have a really big party, I hook all of them up to different monitors in the rec room, and the guests have a blast on them 'reliving' their old gaming days. Of course the gaming quality is less, but that's what happens as time passes. If video quality is all you are worried about, get rid of your PS2 and upgrade. You have to make yourself happy, above and beyond anything else.

Dont buy a PS3, its a waste of money. 600 for hte console and 100 for hte games is way too much. Although if you do end up selling ur PS2 I might be interested.

I wanna buy PS3 also..
And PS3 can play PS2 game also,
so i think PS3 is more better whatever it's so expensive..
But i think there will hav more ppl play PS3 game after..maybe after 2 year or more..
so better PS3..
