I have used Cerama Bryte, WD40 and Brasso and I can not get it to fade. It may be a metallic mark from the new pots and pans I bought specifically to use on this stove, they are stainless steel. Can someone give me a suggestion to try and remove it? I was told the top was scratch resisitant, ha.

scratch resistant maybe, scratch proof, not possible.
If there is anything on the bottom of the pan, it can scratch it.
Generally once scratched, it is there forever.

warranty !!! We still have the warranty and We plan to use it right before We sell it and get a gas one. We think u have to be a very delicate chef to use this damn type of stove even my wife has changed her mind about it...is to delicate and u have to b too careful even when u clean it ..
PS: I bought it at sears and I remember that they said before the warranty is over to call in and change the top if scratched...that is what the sales person told us.

I had a ceramic stove top once....... and no longer do.. why? They look nice but scratch easily(reguardless of the claims) and break very easy which replacing them will cost $350-$400

You can use the same stuff that you use on a scratch for car paint. You can get this cratch remover for car paint at any auto store. You can also try white rubbing compound for car paint which is a little more aggressive
