Today is the fifth anniversary of the first death by anthrax that took place after 9/11.
Bob Stevens who worked for a tabloid in Boca Raton Florida was killed by weapons-grade, finely milled anthrax of high purity. The FBI said at the time that only highly placed people in the U.S. Government would have had access to the spores. They accused Steven Hatfill of the crime, and the news dweebs crucified him in the papers and on TV. Only problem was that Steven Hatfill was innocent, and unwilling to be the quick fix which would have prevented embarassing alternatives being investigated. There has been no progress in the case since. Hatfill is preparing a lawsuit against the Government. Odds makers in Las Vegas are currently giving 1.5 to 1 odds that he will die before the suit can be completed. What do you think?
