I don't know about muttonheaded antiwar activists, Nikkor. But it seems to me that somebody out there was using their thinking caps.

For the rest, country A declares war on country B. No one shows up for the battle(s). This does not necessarly relate to todays problems, just a question in general. It would be nice if Yahoo gave more room to ask a proper question - or - maybe I have not got it down yet. In either case, thank you all for your comments. Appreciated!

"What if they gave a war and nobody came" is an old quote from '60s muttonheaded antiwar activists. Probably the core idea is that the motives for war are artificial, and that soldiers for both sides would realize that and refuse to participate. Only problem was a high percentage of the antiwar people engaged in violent activity themselves. Assault, vandalism, arson and so forth. Much like the animal rights crowd today. Love a bunny, kill a human. See how easy it is? For further enlightment read Edward Abbey's The Monkeywrench Gang.

I am sorry but can you go into more detail.
Do you mean no other country comes to the support of us?
I think this is can be a good topic if you were to give more detail.

**Nikkor13 , Thanks I understand now**

You can not start a war without some support. It just can not happen. All wars are started by appealing to the publics morals or fears. But yes Nikkor is right you cannot speak of peace and love then turn around a fight a person with a different opinion.
By the way I do not support Bush's invasion of Iraq. Nor do I support the Congress that gave him the permission to go to war without the facts. There can only be a cover up when people choose to not investigate what they are being told.

It wont happen. The soldiers love Bush. The more he abuses them, the more they support him. When he has a war, they'll be there!

It's NOT about a "war on terror" or "fighting for freedoms". It's REALLY all about THIS!...
