The main concern is during the first trimester with the fetal brain development, if you have a fever or body temperature is raised artificially in a very hot bath, it could interfere with development.

However, don't panic - most of us took hot baths before we knew we were pregnant or caught a flu during the first trimester at some point. We are mainly talking about prolonged very high temperatures, such as spending an hour in a hot tub or jacuzzi.

As long as there is no bleeding, it's ok to limit hot baths to 10-15 minutes and make the water somewhere between warm and hot. Baths are very relaxing. NO hot tubs or jacuzzis, they are just too hot.

it's not good in the 1st trimester to overheat the body it could cause problems with development you should not get your body temp over 102 a semi hot "warm" bath is OK as long as your not in it long HOT TUBS ARE NOT GOOD AT ALL. Later in pregnancy a semi hot bath helps a lot to relive back pain. The key is not getting your inner body temp to hot. Baths are fine no reason to stop them just don't soak in hot water for 30 mins a warm bath is okay!.

You can take a bath as long as it's less than 100 degrees. Taking a hot bath can cause you to have a miscarriage because the temp is too hot for your growing baby to handle.

I refuse to take a bath, because I would just take a shower. A bath could make the baby too hot and you do not want that..

Although there's no proof of a danger to humans, some animal studies suggest that overheating, especially in the early months of pregnancy, may cause birth defects. To be on the safe side, avoid overheating through exercise, especially in the first trimester.

Sauna and Jacuzzi use in early pregnancy -- which also raises body temperature -- is not recommended either.

They say that it is bad for you because if you are early on in pregnancy it can cause miscarraige or if you are futher along and can actually bring on the baby, its what they use to to in the old days when you would go over your due date.
