It is bogus u can bet on that. Are they asking for any personal information like Social Security Number, or Credit Card Numbers or Bank Account Information? You are gonna get ripped off.

This is a scam. They went as far as mailing me a check drawn on a wells fargo bank in SD for $2,999. I knew it was a scam. But my husband wanted to cash it anyways.....I let him go ahead with it, because I knew the bank would stop him. The bank manager called us into the office and explained that it was a scam and that we would have gotten ripped off had we deposited it. We would be accountable for that money, and someone would have our account number. They kept the check, envelope and letter it came in, it was being entered into an FBI investigation. It happens everyday to a lot of ppl. Please be very careful, and DO NOT give out any personal info. Also please be aware- you cannot win a lotto in another country...especially when you never PURCHASED a ticket....No matter how they say you won it. When it sounds too good to be true, it usually is especially on the internet......even in the mail. Sorry

SCAM !! how would they know you have won a prize as you don't submit your name address or email when buying a ticket, even if you play on-line they NEVER inform you that you have won a prize,it is up to you to check your ticket. These emails usually come from abroad and contain requests for your bank details, also they contain some pretty bad spelling and grammar.

Sounds like a scam. How would they know your email?

It's up to you to check your numbers and claim your prize. The lottery don't contact you.

Did you enter the lottery? No.
Did you buy a ticket? No.
Did you give them your email address when you bought a ticket? No.

Of course it's a scam! How retarded are people? Why would a lottery give you the top prize if you didn't even enter? Naive much?

Did you enter a lottery or buy a ticket or something? If not, then you didn't win anything and it's a scam.

You can only get an e-mail if your are signed up to their website, and bought a ticket on the website. If this is the case, then do not follow any links in the e-mail, go to www.national-lottery.co.uk, and sign in to your account - you can then check your results of any ticket sales in your account.

Relax, it's not true. This is called phishing (tricking people into revealing their identity, bank account numbers and some other sensitive information about them).
