How do I paint a baby crib (white wood now)?

new baby on the way but want to paint the crib. Is it okay to use spray paint and primer?

spray paint.
also you may try and call an auto body shop like the ones that paint cars for 200 bucks. they may be willing to paint hthe crib

sand first or the paint will not stick. spray painting is good if you know how to avoid runs
