WHY DO WE CAN WHAT PEOPLE THINK ?

Largely because there are many people in this world (see above for examples!) that tell them that innate parts of their being are somehow wrong, that promise to hate them if they will accept who they are, who even tell them that God hates them for existing and they should not be... Such things can break a person; hear it often enough and you'll start to believe anything, even lies about yourself.

Many of these people even dare to go by the name of "Christian"--a word that really refers to a follower of the Christ, one who only ever spoke of love!

Good to see you back. I cannot speak for others...I live in NO shame for my lifestyle, my gayness, etc. I have no time to worry about what others may or may not think. I have never been exposed to the rambling lunacy of gay bashers, but would have no problem bashing back were I to be attacked...I am NOT a person to turn any cheek to agressive hate mongerers, but then again, I am big enough to make a statement. And I do, hourly. Good luck
I certainly do not suscribe to the religious lunacy I see above...these people need to get a life that does NOT involve judging others. They are terrified that they have no life and we do...YES, AND we do..a pretty good one at that.

I think some do and some don't. I'd say it has more to do with the pressure that society and family puts on people. Many feel the need to live in hiding their whole lives for fear of rejection.

I know lots of gay men and women (like me) who DON'T give a sh!t what people think and we hve no shame. Why should we? There's absolutely no reason for shame. I hope you aren't wrestling with it - life's too short for that my dear.

Because they just need to get over the fact that they are gay and start enjoying life! I think there is acceptance now, more than 10 years ago.

because there are just some MEAN people...
from the fact that in this world the normal gender are just BOY and GIRL... gays and lesbians are out of the Norm..

i guess they LACK RESPECT for other people...
which is really bad..

Gender should not be an issue....
we should respect one another as a PERSON...
