celeron 2.8 or pentium 2.6? I am looking to upgrade a secondary computer for gaming. Currently has a 1.8 p4?

This is a secondary computer so I don't want to replace the mobo as of yet.

A 2.6 Ghz P4 is roughly twice as fast as a 2.8 Ghz Celeron. The choice is up to you, but I know which one I'd pick.

The pentium has a larger onboard cache which makes it faster then a celeron at a similar speed rating.

don't get the celeron.............it'll freeze.
get the P4 2.6
